Authentic Soviet Soldier Ushanka Winter Hat
The fur of this authentic soviet soldier winter hat consists of 50% wool and 50% synthetic fibers. The top of the hat is made of wool. Inside it is padded and quilted with a special army grade hat cotton filling.
Manufactured in Soviet Union in mid-late 80s. Unissued military stock (NS) condition.
These hats were used as an official military uniform headgear of lower Soviet military ranks, including:
Private
Efreitor
(NATO Rank Code OR-2)
Junior Sergeant
(Corporal)
Sergeant
Senior Sergeant
(Staff Sergeant)
Starshina.
The earflaps can be worn up, behind or down to keep the ears and neck warm.
Great for cold days outdoors, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hunting, winter fishing or anytime you need to keep warm and in style.
For your convenience an insignia (Soviet Red Star) will come unattached to the hat.

How to measure your head and choose the right hat size:
Wrap a measuring tape around head, 1.5 cm (5/8 in.) above eyebrows and ears.
If you don't have a tape measure, use a string and then measure the string.
Add 2 cm or 0.8 inch to the measurement
and compare with the size chart.
If in between 2 sizes, go to the larger size.

I love this Ushanka

This company is a very good one to buy from. I bought the product on a monday evening and by friday on the same week it arrived at my residence. The thing is I am on the West coast and the dealer on the East Coast. I wrote an email to the dealer that I needed it by Friday and they did their best to get it to me. I was very excited to finally get my hat. As I opened it up, it was just as the picture looks. However I did measure my head, and I got a size 60. I thought it would be a little big but as I tried it on, I could have went up to a size 61. It was my fault, not the dealers. In addition to the hat, they came with the emblems. Again im so excited to have this in my possession. I will buy from this dealer again!

Pretty ruski hat

It does it's job at keeping you warm but then again it doesn't get that cold in Florida where I live (30 degrees at most), even though I didn't buy it for the warmth but more for the authenticity and the fact that it's an original military surplus hat very well made.
