Super comfortable, warm, and light

My first time getting a helmet for skiing since about 15 years ago when they were super bulky and heavy. This helmet is light and has a great system for making it easily fit exactly to your head. It's amazingly comfortable with soft thin padding on the inside. I've only used it once so far, but it was on a pretty cold day when they were blowing a ton of wet snow at us constantly, and I stayed very warm. I think the feature on this helmet that lets you open the vents easily without even taking them off will be good for long days of intense skiing or riding where you get hot on the ride down and cold on the way up.
My only complaint is that I got new goggles about a year ago and they don't really work with this helmet because they have a little lip at the top that hits the visor of the helmet, thus making the goggles be pushed too far down on my face and making them uncomfortable. So, I'm going to have to get new goggles that fit better with this, but the helmet itself is great.

Great Helmet & Great Company

Thankfully I haven't really had to put the G10 to test for its intended purpose, and I hope I never have to. That said, it is very comfortable and light. The adjustable vents work well in all conditions and it accommodates my Smith Stance goggles with no problem.
What inspired me to write this review was a cosmetic issue with my first helmet which I had had for about 1.5 years. After being stored in the closet in between seasons, I pulled it out and it looked like the matte black finish was fading in some spots and bubbling in others. I called Giro and they provided a prepaid UPS label which was shipped out immediately and they immediately sent out a new helmet. Four days later the helmet arrived, and I was good to go. I was quite impressed with how easy and seamless their customer service experience was.

Great helmet

I bought this helmet because my old one was hideous. What I liked best about the G10:
1. The adjustment inside the helmet to tighten or loosen it to your head.
2. The "switch" to open or close the air vents on top is built-in.
3. It's comfortable and never once bothered my head when I was snowboarding.
4. There are "pockets" to insert headphones into the ear flaps.
5. You can remove the ear flaps if it's warm out.
Oh yeah, and I bought the older 2009 version instead of the 2012 version which saved me some good coin.
