I purchased a simlar, more expensive hat about four years ago that's still going strong. I purchased this one because it's shaped and it has the crest on it. I was leery of the quality becuase of the price. But once I recieved it and wore it a couple of times it looks like it'll hold up pretty well. My only concern would be to see how long the metal crest hold's up, seeing that it's secured at one point in the center back. But otherwise, it's plenty warm and is very solidly made. If I ever need to replace it I would definately would buy another.

Ushanka is the best!

I've known about these hats since I was a young child, and with the opportunity to grab one right from Russia, i didn't hesitate> Yes it isn't one of those $200+ real fur hats for the ladies, but it's still an awesome Russian made hat and it works just as well. I recommend this for anyone who wants a hat that will keep your head/cheeks warm in any temperature.
