Sleek and stylish Rooftop Cargo Box
By W. Pittman
Ordered this in the blind off Thule's recommendation for my 2010 Volkswagen TDi Sportswagon and 2005 Honda Odyssey. The box was shipped via ground and arrived in great condition. I ordered the areo bars and feet for my new Sportwagon but have the sqaure bars on my Odyssey. The box fits both with easy and rides nicely on both vehicles. The nice feature that Thule did not, nor any of the websites that I used to conduct my research, play up how easy it is to put on, much less swap between two different vehicles.

On the bottom of the cargo box, there are sliding anchors that allow you to place the box on either type of bars. This was covered in the all of the videos and write ups I could find, but the interesting thing is that they slide to accommodate at a minimum of around 21" and a maximum 36" distance between the front and rear bars. So there is no need to have both vehicles setup the same or worry about having to reposition the feet. Once you have the box positioned, then you secure it to the bars by twisting the knobs inside the box.

Truly a well engineered piece of equipment like all the other systems and components I have purchased through Thule. I believe this box is well worth the money and am glad I went with this box over the Atlantis model. I certainly do recommend this box to others!

A sharp addition
By Art B.
I purchased my Boxter 611 from HumblePower for about $720, it was delivered free & intact

My Boxter's glossy two tone finish is a real eye catcher. Under its sleek lines lies
a reinforced lid and lid lifters that makes the lid effortless to operate, even with single hand.
Noise is minimal, and the flared rear of box allows my rear hatch to open fully.
The box is a bit pricey, but since I plan to own the box for 20 plus years, it should be worth it.

Worth every penny...and 5-star rating
By S. Hall
This box definitely is worth every penny and all the 5-star ratings here at Amazon.

It doesn't shake, rattle or flap at any speed. I've been told this is a common complaint with cheaper boxes. Uneven roads will make it creak a bit, but that's to be expected since the car is shifting too. I get some minimal wind noise around 35mph, but I can only hear it if the road is freshly paved and very quiet. Even at freeway speeds on an "average" road surface I can't hear the wind noise. The antenna on my car is set along the centerline of the car on the back of the roof. It is angled backwards and the angle of the Thule rack follows it nearly perfectly. With most of the antenna covered by the rack, I've had zero problems receiving radio (including Satellite) signals. I drove all over town with my Sirius playing and never had any issues. This might change when the box is full, I'll report back on that when I get things loaded up.

As for MPG...I drive 250-300 miles per week, so I left the rack on my car for a week and a full tank of gas. My average MPG for the past five months is 17.8. With the rack on, I averaged...wait for it...17.8mpg. So while it stands to reason the rack should/does interfere with the aero and therefore negatively impact the MPG, it isn't at a level that I can easily identify.

Side note: Thule discontinued this box in 2013 and is replacing it with a similar design. The new unit has a pointed front tip, like a beak. If you like this design, get it now while you can.
