Best way to carry a bike if you have a truck.

Why my opinion matters:
I am an avid biker, of all types. I have road bikes, tandem bikes, downhill bikes, and even a unicycle. I have struggled for years to find a good way to carry them all.

About tailgate pads in general:
Tailgate pads are a great way to carry bikes. You can carry any type of bike; big tires, long bikes, kids bikes, you name it. The bikes tend to stay in place much better, free up bed space, and I can carry five bikes on my F250.

About this product:

Good:
- The quality is good for the price.
- There is sufficient padding to prevent truck scratching
- Pads on the sides help prevent bikes from slipping off the side and scratching the truck
- It still allows access to the tailgate handle.

Bad: (Or not perfect)
- There are no easy buckles for securing, so removal requires un-threading the straps.
- I expected it to be a little more heavy duty, but it isn't bad for the price.

Overall, I highly recommend this product.

Thule tail gate

This pad works great, no issues with dents or scrathes on either the bikes or truck.
Easily loaded 4 bikes on the back of a Nissan D40 in minutes.
For long or rough trips we run a strop across the top to stop bouncing.
